This family owned butchery was opened by husband and wife team Hugo and Siena Roodt in 2002. Their son Jaco joined in 2008 and currently manages the butchery.
Hugo comes from a long line of family butchers. His grandfather started out in meat trade in 1928. His father and mother in 1944. Hugo and Siena opened their first butchery in 1977. The family still use oupa Cornelius Roodt's famous “watertand Boerewors” recipe which is more than 85 years old!
